Even though the market is slowing, Bill Honeyball, its managing
director, believes the company, which is based in Borehamwood in
Hertfordshire, is well placed to support its SME customer base,
primarily because it can offer a wide range of funders as companies
seek to develop their vehicle fleets.
“I think it’s clear that there aren’t many funders who haven’t
been affected by the events of the credit crunch,” he said, “but
because we’ve got a number of funders we think that our position is
one that will develop opportunities for us.”
He also plans to develop relations with customers by setting up
affinity programmes, which allow employees to buy discounted cars
through a scheme set up by their employers with a manufacturer or
leasing company.
Prior to joining Driven Leasing, Theaker worked in the car fleet
leasing industry for 17 years, including stints at Hertz UK and
Wincanton.
