Boeing, British Airways and GE
Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) have finalized a deal
involving upwards of ten 777-300ERs.

Boeing and British Airways signed an order for two Boeing
777-300ER jetliners (valued €529m at catalogue price), on August 7,
while GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) is to purchase two
further planes to be leased to BA along with two planes bought in
2007. BA has also secured options for four additional 777-300ERs
directly from Boeing, totalling ten new additions to BA’s
fleet.
Vice president for sales for Europe, Russia and Central Asia at
Boeing, Marlin Dailey, said: “Boeing and British Airways have a
relationship that stretches back over the last 50 years, and this
order is a reaffirmation of this ongoing partnership
In addition, our key partner GECAS continues to demonstrate
confidence in the 777.”
The two airplanes GECAS has ordered from Boeing will bring the
number of 777s purchased since November 2006 to 25.
