Anglo-Irish auction house Wilsons Auctions has set up a seventh
location in Bruntingthorpe, following the sale of around 300 fleet
CVs at an event on April 1st.

The auction, held at a former US Airforce base in
Leicestershire, saw leasing companies such as Lombard sell their
ex-fleet assets, and has prompted the announcement of regular
auctions at the same venue.

Wilsons Auctions already has five other permanent auction
complexes based in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland,
plus a sixth site in Telford.

Whereas the company auctions a wide range of assets including
plant and machinery, the Bruntingthorpe site is intended as an
ex-fleet centre.

Its position near M1 Junction 20 will ensure easy access to
clients, said group sales director Michael Tomalin: “By selling
product from this venue we minimised the financial implications for
manufacturers and leasing companies transporting their vehicles
around the country – therefore enabling vendors to liquidate their
products as efficiently as possible.”

The next auction at Bruntingthorpe will take place at 11am on
April 29th.
