CV contract hire company Gulliver’s has ordered 18 vehicles in a
deal worth over £1 million from Whale Tankers, the manufacturer
specialised in vacuum tankers and jetting equipment.
Bristol-headquartered Gulliver’s said it will use the new
vehicles to service a number of contracts it has recently secured,
as well as to bolster its own hire fleet.

With the new vehicles, Gulliver’s will now operate in excess of
100 tankers – all from Whale – and will total more than 2,500
vehicles in its fleet, ranging from small vans to large tractor
units, in a network of eight regional depots.
Gulliver’s MD Philippe Harding said: “We know from past
experience that Whale is a quality and premium product. Not
surprisingly, our entire fleet of gully emptiers, sewer cleaners,
jet vacs and recyclers is 100 percent Whale and it is our intention
to keep it that way.”
