Lombard Vehicle Management (LVM) will supply 167 recovery
vehicles to the Automobile Association (AA) in a deal worth almost
£12 million (€14 million).
The asset finance company, which has already provided the AA
with around 2,400 assistance vans and other types of vehicles, will
supply the new vehicles between now and the end of 2010 under a
five-year operating lease agreement.

All vehicles are Euro V-compliant, in line with the AA’s goal of
a significant reduction of CO2 emissions.
Steve Sharpe, the AA’s manager for fleet and recovery
operations, said that LVM has been chosen for its extensive
expertise in commercial vehicles as well as cars.
He added: “This factor, the flexibility required and the simple
fact that Lombard has access to the funds necessary for such a
high-value contract makes Lombard an obvious choice and a valuable
ongoing partner.”
The AA has been a LVM customer for over five years.
