Volkswagen Financial Services (VW FS) has signed a joint venture
with a Norwegian importer to enter the country’s leasing
market.
The finance arm of the German carmaker has just secured a deal
with Norwegian importer Møller Gruppen, as it plans to offer
financial services on the Norwegian market for the first time
starting at the end of 2009.

The joint venture will allow the captive to sell financing,
leasing and insurance products for VW, Skoda and VW Commercial
Vehicles.
The new company will be based in Oslo and will target both
private and corporate customers.
The company said that the start of business operations is
subject to the necessary official approval.
