UK lessor Capital Solution Group (CSG)
Lease has renewed a vendor programme it began last year with the UK
arm of Mitel Networks, a Canadian-headquartered telecoms
manufacturer.
CSG Lease initially won the account in 2008 to
fund Mitel’s managed service contracts in the UK.

CSG Lease currently works with around 50 of
the manufacturer’s channel partners, providing training and ongoing
negotiation support with their customers and ultimately financing
the contracts.
Written business last year totalled about £6
million (€7 million). In 2009, projected volumes with Mitel are
expected to exceed £15 million.
CSG Lease’s MD David Jackson explained: “We
primarily provide mechanisms for them to finance their managed
service contracts with their customers, which they weren’t able to
source anywhere else in the market.”
He added: “We are well aware of the issues in
the telecoms sector at the moment, but we feel that by partnering
with the right manufacturers and resellers and using correct due
diligence, we can navigate a safe route through the problems that
other lenders are experiencing.”
• Mitel Networks is a
provider of communication solutions in 90 countries worldwide, and
in the UK it has a channel of about 140 resellers. It provides
communications platforms and gateways, business telephones and
unified communications software applications to small offices as
well as large enterprises. Typically clients choose them because
for a monthly fee the managed service contract provider will supply
them skills and experience of an IT department at a fraction of the
cost they would have to pay otherwise.
