Intesa Sanpaolo’s MD Corrado Passera said: “[The moratorium] is
a very serious issue and represents one of the instruments to back
the Italian companies amid the crisis.”

All the country’s major banks and their leasing subsidiaries,
including UniCredit Leasing, Agrileasing, UBI Leasing and MPS
Leasing e Factoring have joined the moratorium, which allows
Italian firms with a good credit history to suspend for a 12-month
period the payment of their mortgage and leasing loans.
