Italy’s Cariparma has acquired 85 percent of Credit Agricole
Leasing Italia (Calit) from Credit Agricole Leasing, the French
lessor.
Following the acquisition, Calit will now become part of the
Cariparma Friuladria banking group – which is itself majority-owned
by Credit Agricole.

Credit Agricole Leasing will continue to own the remaining 15
percent stake of Calit.
The French lessor entered the Italian market in December 2008,
after acquiring Cariparma’s leasing business from Italy’s second
largest lessor Leasint, part of Intesa Sanpaolo.
