Bosnia’s small and medium-sized companies will benefit from a
€90 million credit line made available by the European Investment
Bank (EIB).

The EIB will provide €50 million through the Bosnian branches of
Italy’s Intesa Sanpaolo and €40 million through Raiffeisen Leasing,
the leasing arm of Austria’s Raiffeisen Zentralbank.

The loans are aimed at local SMEs engaged in trade, industry,
environment and energy that meet the EIB eligibility criteria.

The Bosnian government has just given green light to the overall
project, and has forwarded the agreement to the EIB to conclude
deals with the two banks.
