David Betteley has joined Jaguar as director
of the luxury carmaker’s Financial Services division.

Betteley, also currently chairman of the
Finance & Leasing Association, is a well-known figure in the
motor finance world, having held the role of vice-president at
Toyota Financial Services EMEA for over a decade until his
retirement late last year.

Prior to his role at Toyota, where he helped
set up the Financial Services division, Betteley was managing
director of GMAC UK, a position he held for 15 months. He started
his career at Lloyds & Scottish Finance, later Lloyds
Bowmaker.

He will report to Mike Wright, director of
customer services at Jaguar Land Rover.

Finance for Jaguar customers is provided via a
partnership with Fiat Credit Agricole in Europe, replacing the
previous Ford Credit relationship, which was dissolved after Ford
sold Jaguar Land Rover to Tata Motors in 2008.
