Commercial Vehicle contract hire giant Ryder has delivered 35
new dual compartment trucks, between 15 and 18 tonnes in weight, to
frozen food wholesale provider DBC Foodservice.
DBC operates from 14 distribution points,
through a fleet of more than 200 delivery vehicles, nearly half of
which are on contract hire with Ryder.

The company has more than 10,000 customers,
including Caffe Nero, the Ministry of Defence, Prezzo, Loch Fyne,
Little Chef, and Gourmet Burger Kitchen, and an annual turnover
exceeding £270 million.
“We stopped buying our own delivery trucks just over ten years
ago,” said Gill Tomlinson, DBC’s national fleet manager, “at which
time it became more cost-effective to outsource the supply of
vehicles to contract hire specialists such as Ryder.”
