Deutsche Leasing is expecting its business in Spain and Portugal
in the fiscal year 2009/2010, ending September 30, to stay at about
the same level as the previous year, it has been reported.
Spanish business is predicted to generate €100 million again,
while activities in Portugal are expected to rise slightly to €20
million from €18 million.

CEO Hans-Michael Heitmueller is said to have stated that the
company’s business outside Germany could post profits pushing into
hundreds of millions of Euros.
Deutsche Leasing reportedly also plans to broaden its portfolio
into other industries such as renewable energy and the food
industry, in order to reduce its reliance on the machine
sector.
It is also purported to be looking at moving into markets such
as Brazil and India, as well as Turkey and Ukraine if the political
situation there stabilises.
