Network, the fleet broker arm of LeasePlan UK,
has implemented the Leaselink e-procurement platform from online
solutions company Ebbon-Dacs across its network of franchisees.
The platform, which allows brokers to source
and order new fleet vehicles electronically, is expected to deliver
cost savings of 10% to 15% over traditional methods of sourcing
vehicles, the Oxford-based IT specialist said.

Network account director Mike Thompson said
the solution was in line with the company’s goal to give
franchisees the means to make their business “as efficient and cost
effective as possible”.
“It completely automates the sourcing and
order process, providing a clear audit trail, and tracks orders
through the system so that the user can see where an order is at
any one time simply by pushing a button,” Thompson added.
Leaselink is currently being employed by some
of the UK’s largest contract hire and leasing companies, including
Network’s parent, LeasePlan UK. The latest implementation began in
March and has now been rolled out across the complete franchisee
operation.
