BNP Paribas Equipment Solutions took the top
spot, with about €12.5bn of new business in Europe in 2009, while
SG Equipment Finance moved up to second place and Deutsche Leasing
came in third.

The list also lacked a significant UK
presence, as Lombard North Central lost its sixth place spot to
Crédit Agricole Leasing, and only Lloyds TSB Asset Finance made the
list at all, coming in 11th.

This year, 110 companies responded to the
survey, up from 106 in 2008, but down from a total of 123 in 2007,
and 207 in 2006.

Parent and stand alone companies in the survey
for 2009 reported new leasing volumes of more than €122bn.
