Leaseurope has chosen one of Italian leasing’s
most international faces to be its new vice chair with the
appointment of Massimiliano Moi, CEO of UniCredit Leasing.

Moi said: “My involvement is aimed at
contributing to the success of all initiatives at European level
which can support the recovery of a sector such as leasing, which
has always been an important driving force for investment
growth.”

Moi joined the Leaseurope board in January 2010 after being at
the helm of UniCredit Leasing for three years. Maurizio Lazzaroni,
president of Italian leasing association Assilea, said Moi’s
appointment acknowledged the significance of the Italian leasing
market within Europe, and the contribution that the trade
association has given to Leaseurope over many years.
It is expected that next week Leaseurope will
confirm the names of its new board including the future chair.
Each member association is invited to nominate
potential leaders who are chosen by the general assembly.
