lessor Azule Finance has appointed a new member of its board.
Former Rothschild managing director Charles Keay joins as a
non-executive director, and the appointment is aimed at helping the
company to expand its funding sources. Keay, who has more than 30
years of experience in debt capital markets, worked with Rothschild
subsidiary Five Arrows Leasing Group, also a technology leasing
specialist. Peter Savage, managing director of Azule, said: “We are
delighted to have Charles on board .”

Arval

Arval Hellas, the Greek arm of fleet
management specialist Arval, has appointed Roberto Fonseca as new
general manager. He replaces Bruno Rousset, who has been promoted
to regional director of Arval’s Asian operations.
Fonseca joined Arval in 2005 as general manager for its operation
in Brazil – effectively launching the BNP Paribas entity on the
Brazilian market.
His appointment in Greece is in line with growth plans in the
Southern European country.
Fonseca said: “One of the main challenges is to guide the Greek
market, which is today still very car oriented, rather than service
oriented.
“Our goal is to make companies understand that the mobility of
their drivers is linked with the service quality of their leasing
partner and the information provided.”

Capitas Vehicle
Finance

Gary Dawkins, former sales manager at
Fortis Lease, will lead asset finance broker Capitas Finance’s new
vehicle financing subsidiary, Capitas Vehicle Finance Ltd (CVF),
taking a shareholding in the business in the process.
Having developed experience of funding prestige vehicles at Fortis,
Dawkins will develop CVF’s offering to dealers looking to finance
cars for high net worth customers.
He has 22 years’ experience in the sector.

 

Hogan Lovells

International law firm Hogan Lovells
has taken on two new partners at its London banking practice to
strengthen its asset finance activities.
Robert Fugard and Simon Gwynne join the practice from Linklaters’
asset finance team, a month after the appointment of capital
markets partner Denis Dillon. They begin work on 1 May.
Fugard is currently head of the asset finance practice at
Linklaters, and co-head of transport and logistics, focusing on
big-ticket equipment financing, especially in aviation, shipping
and Islamic finance. Gwynne is also a partner, focusing on asset
finance and structured finance involving aircraft, rolling stock,
telecoms equipment, shipping and other large assets. He was ranked
as the UK’s top rail finance lawyer by Chambers 2010.

 

Ince & Co

Law firm Ince & Co has taken on
DLA Piper partner Stephen Marais as part of a bid to strengthen its
London asset finance practice. While at DLA Piper, Marais, a
specialist in banking and asset finance, had major involvement in
ship financing for ship-owners and international banks.
He also advises clients on matters such as Islamic financing,
government guaranteed debt facilities and leasing structures.

Systems

Global lease software specialist
International Decision Systems (IDS) has appointed Leon Sadler as
vice-president of professional services.
Sadler has more than 20 years’ experience in technology
consultancy.
Most recently, he was vice-president of professional services at
credit scoring and business consulting firm Fair Isaac Corporation
(FICO), where he was responsible for managing marketing, solution
and technology consultancy teams for Americas, EMEA and
India.
He has also held senior roles at SAP and IBM.

 

Iveco Capital

Iveco Capital has promoted Gabriele
Braglia to chief executive for its Spanish business.
Most recently, Braglia was Iveco Capital’s head of operations based
in Madrid. He has been with Iveco since 2004, first in Turin as
sales and marketing director, then in Paris as head of marketing
for Iveco France and subsequently Iveco Capital.
Braglia joined Iveco’s parent company Fiat in 2000, moved to CHN UK
in 2001 and the worked at Fiat Auto in Brussels until 2004, as
regional manager for fleet sales.

 

Leasedrive Velo

UK vehicle management specialist
Leasedrive Velo has promoted Dominic Moran to account management
director for its Birmingham office.
He previously was head of strategic accounts at the company. He
worked with Masterlease UK for the past 18 years, including five
years as head of strategic and corporate accounts.
In his new role, Moran will be playing a major role in maintaining
continuity with Masterlease UK’s portfolio of blue chip contract
hire customers, after Masterlease and Leasedrive announced their
merges in December 2010.

 

MAN Finance
International

German truck lessor MAN Finance
International (MFI) has appointed Elliot Lennick as vice-president
of international sales management. Lennick will be responsible for
international key account business, as well as all market-led
activities outside Germany.
All heads of MAN Finance in countries where the company is present
will report directly to Lennick. At MAN Financial Services, the
company’s UK operation, joint managing directors Peter Collins and
Andrew Laming will now be respectively responsible for sales and
sales operations, and controlling and administration.
Lennick said: “This cleaner management structure provides everyone
with simple, more direct, lines of communication. As a result, the
MFI back-office function will see even greater efficiencies, and
this can only provide a better service to our customers.”

 

Manheim
Remarketing

Manheim Remarketing has strengthened
its management team in Glasgow with the appointment of Martin Gray
as sales manager and Stephanie Benton as branch dealer
manager.
Gray joins Manheim after a career with manufacturers including
Peugeot and Mercedes-Benz. Most recently, he was fleet solutions
manager at Glasgow-based lessor Fleet Alliance.
Benton joins from Wilsons Auctions, where she was general manager.
Prior to that, she worked at Skoda as used car supply manager. She
started her career at Manheim in 2003 as account manager in dealer
sales.

 

Crédit Agricole Leasing &
Factoring

Olivier Toussaint is to leave his
position as CEO of Crédit Agricole Leasing and Factoring as part of
a major management reshuffle.
Toussaint is to become head of coverage and investment banking at
Crédit Agricole CIB under the banking group’s Commitment 2014
strategic plan, which includes achieving net banking income of
€40bn by 2014.
He will now report to Pierre Cambefort, who has been appointed as
deputy CEO of Crédit Agricole CIB.
All changes to the management structure at Crédit Agricole CIB,
which also includes a second deputy CEO, a new head of fixed income
markets, and a new CFO, will be effective from 1 April this
year.
Toussaint began his career in finance in 1984 at the Central Risk
Department of Banque Indosuez in Paris.
He joined Crédit Agricole Leasing, as it was then known, as CEO in
2005. He became CEO of CAL&F after implementing the link-up
with Eurofactor in 2009.
A replacement has yet to be chosen.
