Maurizio Lazzaroni, chairman of Assilea, said the appointment came after years of active participation in the association, during which time Moi had promoted the examination of the role of leasing in the economy and its medium term prospects, notably at the European level.

Moi said: "My commitment with Leaseurope will focus on every possible effort and initiative contributing to spread awareness on the importance of asset financing as a central tool in re-launching SME investment. I will therefore push for enhancing all the benchmarking tools necessary to the European management for setting new strategies, suitable to face the structural changes that our industry is living".
