CIT Vendor Finance Europe, the European leasing arm of US-based CIT Group, has made four new appointments in its French, German and UK offices.

Vincenzo Scalzone has joined the group as sales leader in France, after filling the same role at De Lage Landen.

Bernhard Kueppenbender has been appointed to run CIT’s German sales team. He joins from DISKO Leasing where he ran the sales teams across Northern Europe.

Based in the UK, Robert Ferguson has joined the group to manage the Lenovo Financial Services programme across Europe, and Mick Barber has been appointed European programme manager for Avaya Financial Services. Ferguson has 20 years experience, most recently at Microsoft where he held a variety of leadership roles while Barber has been moved from his previous position as CIT’s European syndications manager.

Rich Green, president of CIT Europe, said the appointments "demonstrate CIT’s commitment to developing business in Europe", with the firm "investing in talent and our wider business at a time when many of our competitors are considering their position in the market."

He added CIT Vendor Finance has experienced strong performance in Europe with volumes up significantly in the first nine months of this year.
