Daberkow moves to VWFS from German bank and financial services provider Deutsche Postbank, where he was Board Member for IT and operations.
Frank Witter, chairman of VWFS, said Daberkow’s appointment emphasised the importance of, and importance the company placed on, IT in facilitating "efficient, competitive, customer-oriented business".
The move at the vehicle and asset finance partner to the Volkswagen Group comes as the Group makes two appointments to its own board: Ulrich Hackenberg will become board member for development of Audi and head of development coordination while Heinz-Jakob Neusser will become board member for development of the VW brand.
The appointments follow three others announced last week at a senior sales level within the Group.
