UK asset and loan finance provider Investec Asset Finance has appointed Jane Mantell as head of portfolio risk.
Joining Investec from consultancy Insight Plus, according to the company, Mantell will be tasked with launching a "model-based framework for decision-making, capital and provisioning".

Her remit will include both Investec’s portfolio and that of newly acquired motor finance broker Mann Island.
Andy Higgins, head of credit at Investec Asset Finance, said the company was "delighted" by Mantell joining the team.
Mantell’s appointment leads on from her recent work as a consultant assisting Investec’s credit risk team, and the company have credited her with helping secure them ‘Credit Risk Team of the Year’ at this year’s Credit Today Awards.
Higgins explained: "She [Mantell] has already helped to ensure we have an award winning Credit Risk Team and her industry experience and expertise will be invaluable in helping the team embed business intelligence in everything we do and move from strength to strength."
