The UK arm of Durch vehicle fleet manager LeasePlan has appointed Jo Elms as commercial director.

Elms’s career at LeasePlan spans nine years. Roles she has held include time as brand director of the company’s SME product LeasePlanGo, formerly known as FleetLine, in 2006 and of its franchisee brand, Network, in 2009.

Prior to moving to LeasePlan, Elms worked in the leasing and rental arms of manufacturers Ford and Nissan, as well as for automotive and marketing information provider Polk.

Matt Dyer, managing director of LeasePlan UK, said: "On behalf of the board I am delighted to announce the appointment of Jo Elms as Commercial Director."

Elms’s experience in the financial and automotive sector would strengthen the board’s ability to address the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, according to Dyer.

"It’s also my firm belief that greater representation of women in executive directorships is a signal that LeasePlan UK is ensuring women are progressing through the talent pipeline," he added.
