UK broker Shire Leasing has appointed Malcolm Workman as its new head of risk.
Workman will work along the rest of Shire Leasing’s executive board in order to enhance the span of management control. The plan is to achieve this through the strengthening the current risk processes, service and policies, said the broker.

He takes up full responsibility for this role from March 1st 2015.
Workman has more than 17 years of experience in the asset finance industry. He joins Shire Leasingfrom Aldermore Bank where he was risk director, with previous roles at Siemens Financial Services.
Following his appointment, Workman said: "I’m excited to have joined the excellent management team here at Shire during a time of programmed growth. Whilst it will be very different from the bank environment I have come from, the opportunities for a fleet of foot, privately owned funder are immense.
"The development plans for the business are very exciting as we explore the opportunities the British Business Bank investment have afforded us which assist in our Own Book growth strategy."
