The total value of new leasing volumes provided by the Polish leasing sector increased by 16.3% 2015 compared to the previous year, reaching PLN 49.8bn (11.2bn), according to Zwiazek Polskiego Leasingu (ZPL).
Vehicle leasing was the strongest segment of the market, with new leasing volumes increasing by 20% year-on-year to PLN 18.7bn in 2015.

Equipment leasing volumes increased by 12% over the same period to PLN 15.9bn. In addition, heavy transport (airplanes, trucks and trains) new leasing volumes increased by 18% year-on-year to PLN 13.5bn.
ZPL surveyed a number of sales executives in companies that it associates with, on their expectations for the first quarter of 2016. 66% of respondents anticipated leasing volumes in machines and other equipment, including IT, to grow in Q4 2015, of which 8% expected ‘significant growth’.
50% anticipated growth in the finance market for heavy transport, while 42% expect the passenger and commercial vehicle market to grow.
