Encompass Corporation has appointed former chief executive officer of the Asset Based Finance Association (ABFA), Kate Sharp, as an industry advisor.

Sharp will be responsible for supporting the company’s growth as a supplier of visual analytics technology to the UK’s asset based lending, factoring, and invoice discounting industries.

Sharp served as the chief executive officer of the ABFA from 2003 to 2014, working to raise the profile of invoice finance within the UK government.

Sharp was also involved in setting up the EU Federation for Factoring and Commercial Finance (EUF) and was made an honorary fellow of the Institute of Credit Management .
