WYSE LEASING


aMartyn Maskell
has returned to Wyse Leasing after
spending the past five years working for rival company Syscap.
Maskell will focus on developing Wyse’s vendor finance business and
has been allocated a number of key accounts from the company’s
portfolio. Prior to his move to Syscap in 2003, he spent seven
years at Wyse. 

STATE SECURITIES

Leigh Wiltshire has been appointed new business
specialist at State Securities. His role is to increase new
business levels from existing broker connections, especially in the
asset finance, commercial mortgages and factoring and bridging
finance sectors. Previously, he worked in the company’s accounts
department. 

 

SIEMENS FINANCIAL SERVICES

Derek Ryan, previously specialist business and
corporate development director, has been promoted to sales and
marketing director at Siemens Financial Services (SFS) in the UK.
Ryan, who holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, will
report to James Gearey, managing director of SFS UK. 

GOINDUSTRY-DOVEBID

GoIndustry-Dovebid has appointed Patrick
Ditcham
to its Birmingham office. Ditcham, who joins from
another firm of surveyors, has 20 years’ experience in the
profession and will provide advice and services to lenders, and
business restructuring and recovery companies in the West
Midlands. 

VENTURE FINANCE

Tony
Cox
, founder of Venture Finance (VF) has been awarded
a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Asset Based Finance
Association’s annual Educational Foundation Awards. Cox entered the
factoring industry in 1977 with International Factors and founded
VF in 1989. He sold the business to ABN AMRO in 1992, but remained
as managing director. The company grew from three staff to around
250 today and it handles more than £3.5bn of client invoices
annually. In April, he retired as managing director in place of
Peter Ewen. 

EXPERIAN

Victor Nichols has been appointed chief
executive officer UK & EMEA at Experian, with responsibility
for expanding the company in key territories and vertical markets.
Prior to his appointment, he was group president of Experian
Interactive, the group’s online marketing business. He will report
to Don Robert, chief executive officer of Experian Group.

Greg Standing has been appointed a partner at
Wragge & Co’s finance, insolvency, recoveries and sales team.
His appointment takes the total number of partners in this
specialist team to three. Particular areas of expertise for
Standing include disputes regarding ownership of goods, recovery of
losses resulting from fraud and professional negligence. 


aDAVENHAM

Davenham has appointed Emma Rodulson-Ellis as
asset finance business development manager. She will be responsible
for developing new business from the small- and medium-sized
enterprise sector in East Anglia. She joins Davenham from Barclays,
where she was a business manager. 

KEY EQUIPMENT FINANCE

Melvin Ong has been promoted by Key Equipment
Finance (KEF) to general manager Asia Pacific. He joined KEF as
vice president of sales and marketing for Asia in 2000. Previously,
he held a variety of senior roles with Compaq Financial Services,
Hewlett-Packard Technology Finance and Mitsushiba SEAPacific. He
holds a qualification from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries
and Administrators in the UK. 

VERTU MOTORS

Bristol Street Commercials, the Iveco dealer based in Bristol,
Swindon and Gloucester, has appointed Neil Willis
as used-vehicle manager for all three sites. Willis has 18 years’
experience in the truck business and built a used-truck operation
for Volvo in Bristol before taking a role in a contract-hire
business. 

EXPERIAN

Isobel McKenna has been appointed sales
director at Experian’s Business Information division, with
responsibility for developing the company’s data assets via
third-party channel partners. 

CLOSE LEASING

Close Leasing Ltd has made two new appointments. Henry
Harrison
joins as sales manager and will be responsible
for third party business generation, while Martin
Hammond
has been recruited as credit manager to be based
in Manchester. Hammond will be working with credit director, Tom
Dramby. Harrison and Hammond bring with them extensive experience
in the leasing industry, working for banks and brokers. 

LEX UK

Vehicle lessor, Lex, has appointed Harvey Stead
as new northern regional director. Stead, who joins from Lex
corporate senior team where he was sales director, will be
responsible for developing local and senior relationships with
customers in the northern region. In his previous role, Stead
worked with FMG, a fleet and accident management specialist.
