Davenham has created a new department within its asset finance
division to work more closely with professional introducers,
including accountancy firms and insolvency practitioners operating
in the large-ticket sector. Mark Gilman, who has
been with the company for five years, will head the new team which
will cover the company’s nine UK offices.


Joanne Cowan has joined BNP Paribas as
collections manager. Previously she was collections manager at
Close Asset Finance.


Vincenzo Scalzone has joined the Technology
Finance Global Business Unit of De Lage Landen as its new business
development manager for the European market. Scalzone will focus on
the development of new programmes, as well as the expansion of
existing programmes and relationships. Prior to joining De Lage
Landen, Scalzone worked with GE Commercial Finance and Société


Venture Finance has moved to new premises in Haywards Heath. The
move comes on the eve of its integration with Fortis Bank later
this month (October). Peter Ewen, managing
director of Venture Finance, explained that, with 22,800 square
feet, the office re-location will provide a modern environment to
cope with the opportunities for the invoice and asset-based finance


Frank Witter has been appointed chairman of the
board of managers for Volkswagen Financial Services AG, which
includes Volkswagen Leasing, after 16 years with the Volkswagen
group. He had previously acted as president of Volkswagen Credit,
as well as financial services regional manager for American
markets. The board of management at Financial Services is also to
be expanded by the addition of Frank Fiedler, who
will be responsible for the finance division. Fiedler joined
Volkswagen in 1990, and has been a member of the commercial
vehicles board since 2005. Lars-Henner Santelmann
will retain his position as spokesperson of Volkswagen Leasing, as
well as taking on the role of board member for sales.


Experian has appointed Martin Rossak as market
head of Central Europe for its decision analytics division. He will
be responsible for growing the division’s revenues in Poland, Czech
Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania and
Bulgaria. He comes with over 15 years of experience having worked
in the banking and technology sectors at senior positions in
Raiffeisen Zentralbank, SAP, Hewlett Packard and Siemens Business


Hans-Michael Heitmüller will remain CEO of
Deutsche Leasing until July 2010. The supervisory board of Deutsche
Leasing AG elected to extend Heitmüller's contract. He has
led Deutsche Leasing since it was acquired by

EurotaxGlass’s has launched a Global Services Division to
spearhead the company’s internet growth. Steffen
has been appointed as managing director of the new
division, which will provide bespoke reports and intelligence
services to vehicle manufacturers, fleet and finance companies. He
joins from Fleet Logistics International where he was chief
operating officer.


Julie-Ann Wells has been appointed to a sales
support role at Atlas Copco Finance. Prior to joining she was a key
account co-ordinator at De Lage Landen Leasing.


Kavilesh Gupta has been appointed executive
vice-president of TietoEnator’s service lines, the head of the IT
service line and a member of the leadership team as of 1 December.
He joins from TATA Consultancy Services where he has worked since
1995 in different international managerial positions in the UK,
Finland, India and the US. Since 2005 Gupta has been working as
country head for TCS-Finland responsible for designing, developing
and implementing that company’s growth in the country.


Prompted by its ongoing growth in staff numbers since its
re-location to Harrogate in 2005, icenet has expanded its operation
with a move to a new head office at Simpson House in the town.
Local MP Phil Willis officially opened the new office and Alex
Stephen, icenet’s chief executive, explained that the original
re-location was to take advantage of the large pool of skilled IT
resource in the area. “This,” he said, “has allowed us to grow our
business rapidly.”


Lloyds TSB Autolease, the commercial vehicle and company car
fleet lessor, has appointed Mark Robbins to its
public sector team with responsibility for business development in
Scotland and Northern Ireland.
He joins from GE Capital where his role was sales manager. His
experience involves account management, new business acquisitions,
contract hire and commercial vehicles.


Coface has strengthened its presence in London and the south
east with the promotion of Alan Binstead as
regional sales director and appointment of Jason
as regional sales manager. Previously, Binstead was
within Risk Underwriting at Coface and before that as a broker at
Marsh. Quinn joins from Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance.

Spikes NV, a Belgian company specialising in business process
improvement software and services, has chosen Johnnie
as its UK manager in a move to expand its
presence in other European countries. Halliday, who has over 20
years of experience in the leasing sector, will focus on Britain’s
asset and finance markets and build on the company’s existing
relationships, such as the one with Fortis Lease UK.
