In a sign of the times, the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) has postponed its flagship Expo event (originally scheduled for September 2020) until 24 March 2021, at the same venue, Birmingham’s NEC.

Given the size, scale, and complexity of running the event, the Association felt there were still far too many risks to safely proceed with hosting the NACFB Expo this year, organisers said.

The March event will be the only Expo the NACFB expects to hold in 2021 and will take the place of the usual June event, the Association said.

Norman Chambers, managing director of the NACFB, said: “This has been an incredibly difficult decision for us to make. We entertained all possible scenarios, as well as running detailed modelling exploring available options.

“None of these outcomes were able to adequately satisfy our number one priority: safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our stakeholders.

“We would like to thank all exhibitors, sponsors and delegates for their understanding, and we are very much looking forward to hosting a bigger and bolder NACFB Expo in March 2021.”
