Close Brothers Asset Finance’s transport team has appointed Kingsley Smith to the position of dealer manager in the UK Midlands.

Smith will work closely with the lenders’ manufacturing partners and dealer groups to expand its offering into that market, Close Brothers Asset Finance said in a statement.

In a statement, Smith (pictured) said:

“Since joining, I’ve found the approach to finance and underwriting – in particular – incredibly refreshing in a demanding economic climate. The first few months into a new role are usually a good indication of what the future holds, and I can say I’m nothing but impressed.

“Getting someone of Kingsley’s calibre on board further endorses our plans to grow our dealer business, a market we are fully committed to and where we are expanding our presence.

“As the economy continues to recover, we are looking forward to helping our dealer partners thrive through all economic cycles.”
