Alphabet, the business mobility division of the BMW group, has expanded into Portugal through local partner Finlog.

Alphabet has begun offering its leasing products in the country in partnership with the Portuguese fleet management and vehicle leasing company. The product line also includes fuel cards, roadside assistance and insurance.

The Portugal foray brought the number of countries in which Alphabet operates to 20.
Rüdiger Ebel, head of new markets at Alphabet, said: “The aim of our collaboration is to serve international and pan-Iberian customers now in Portugal, a high potential market.

“Our corporate clients highly value our international product offer and global network. Now they can also rely on an Alphabet-testified partner to provide suitable cutting-edge mobility products for their subsidiaries or offices in Portugal. We are all very excited to see what we can accomplish for our customers with Finlog.”

Pedro Saraiva, chief executive of Finlog, said: “Thanks to Finlog’s extensive experience in fleet management and integration into the largest Portuguese automotive group, we can work together with Alphabet to enhance its global presence and drive innovation.
“By collaborating, we are able to provide tailor-made Business Mobility solutions that fulfil global enterprises’ mobility demands in Portugal.”

Privately-owned Finlog was founded in 1993, and operates a fleet of around 11,000 vehicles, according to the company.
